-rookie English & Spanish review- Stargazer by Claudia Gray

Image
[Non edited] Brilliant! again...we are viewing everything in Bianca's pov...wich I find really enjoyable...since now...she relly starts questioning everythin she'd ever believed was right... struggling between...her love for Lucas...the pull she feels toward Balthazar...the distance that's growing between her and her parents...and if that's not enough...something...(not pretty)...seems to be claiming her...for no reason she can understand... you'll see she's forced to grow up...she seems more determined than ever to find out everything about her...and what'll happen if she doesn't choose to become a vampire... Claudia Gray leaves you definitely wanting more in the end...wich I'll admit LOVE IT! you'll never get tired of reading this... sexy, scary, vampires, hunters...and now...something entirely new...ghosts...or as vampires call them...WRAITHS... I give this book 5fotitos= ~Sobs hard~Too good to be true! Otra vez vemos todo desde el pun

Fiktshun's -Sweet Evil- Giveaway

So... Today, I got to leave work early and was doing the usual stuff... getting caught up with some blogs I follow, book cover haunting... And also... the daily stuff, hahaha, stalking Fiktshun . And I happened to stumble upon a post which made me stumble yet into another POST ... And it kind of made me... um... nervous. As you may know, Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins was a book I knew about, pinned for, cried for, wished for thanks to the awesome Fiktshun and later on my dream came true when my BookAngel -N- gifted it to me... Suffice it to say, I fell in love, and fell HARD as you might notice by my really really freaky-ish REVIEW . But it appears that the sequel, has yet to be picked up, acquired, whatever you want to call it... Which means...-or what I think it means- that we still aren't sure if there IS going to be a sequel to Sweet Evil, though a book tittle and description are already up on Goodreads-> Sweet Hope Anna Whitt promised herself she’d never do th

-rookie review- Boys That Bite by Mari Mancusi

Image
[Non edited] Sooooooo!!! what a great happy read this was...even when the writing got a bit repetitive I didn't mind it one bit!! actually I LOVED IT!!! it's rather different form other vampire books out there and the hilarious Sunny sure is another plus in the book! And to make the not-so-long story even less-longer ^-^ Sunny was bitten by Magnus who at the time was a really jack-ss!! now she has 7 days to reverse the process.Process in wich her twin very-look-alike twin sister Rayne may NOT join her, even though she was the one who was supposed to be bitten not the other way around...finally she has to face head on that she has to spend most of her time with 'BAD'but 'HOT' Magnus to become human before its' too late...but...lately she finds hereself drawn to Magnus, and remembers that for the time being they're both blood mates...and can't help it!! I liked it very much! thank you for this book! even when things started to seem to hard

-rookie review- Angel by L.A. Weatherly

Image
[Non edited] This books takes on a whole new meaning to the incredibly beautiful creatures that we know Angels are... but this particular type of angel made the hair on the nape of my neck stand on end when I read what they are capable of when they're always the good guys trying to save the earth from evil and blah blah blah nothing of that nonsense will be in this book when you read it... Willow is neither angel nor human so what is she?? Alex HATES angels! and lives only to kill them...what happens when this 2 get together by her being the one on his list to kill...will change their lives forever... I found this book soooooooooooooo good!! that I started re-reading a lot of chapters when I wasn done with them... The love between the 2 main charcters doesn't develop as it does in a lot of books...they fight their ways to their own feelings...fight their natures and pasts...everything is not what it seems in this fantastic book!! that left me begging for more where

-rookie review- Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

Image
[Non edited] I was going through the books I've read and found that I hadn't written a review for Crescendo!!! I believe it actually was because I was left speechless when I finished it. In this second book we see a whole new Patch and suffer A LOT of pain through Nora's eyes. I love that we get to see MORE of one of my favorite characters of all time!!VEE!!!!~throws confeti~ and we see more of Rixon too!! we're introduced to Scott-a childhood friend of Nora and sadly we see more of Marcie Millar(so -BEWARE-) Reading this I was reminded of the pain I went through reading a lot of sequels to books...specially books number 2!what's up with painful sequels?? uh? I found myself trying to rip the book to a million piecies or a chance to reach into the book find both Nora & Patch and shake them so they would go back to their old selves...and don't make me start with the HUGE! cliffhanger that Becca left as an ending. When I was sure no more pain would

-rookie review- Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick

Image
[Non edited] Just finished re-reading this book!! and it sure remembered me why I loved it so much...never has been fallen been so tempting!!!gosh!!! Patch!!I love the way he's so secretive and you're always suspicious about him every time there's a scene with him in the book! and well Nora seems to be the perfect fit for him...never giving up and wanting at all costs to discover what's really going on with him. May I have a word and say that the best side-kick of every book I've read so far goes to VEE!!!! I LOVE HER!!SHE'S LIKE! AMAZINGLY FUNNY!! the book wouldn't be the same without here...true the story revolves around Patch's story and desire to become human and Nora's life always at risk but VEE!!is the spice to every page of this book!!!! she's funny, lovely, BFF!!!material!, TALL!!! and not thin at all!! wich for me it makes her perfect!!!! thx Becca for making a wonderfull book!!that I'm sure I've read more than 4 times already

*On listing my reviews*

Image
Just a quick post to let you know that I'm currently working on making a list to all of my reviews so you can all better access them. Now, while doing this I discovered that I never got to post some of them here whereas I did post them on my Facebook page , since THAT'S where BookPics first started... So, this next couple of weeks I'll be posting them here and later on adding them to the list. Of course, there'll be a tab under the header for you to easily click it. Remember, these reviews were most likely written last year but I want them to be here as well, I seriously never thought I'd ever forget about posting them here but there you go lol. I guess I was just too excited when I started reviewing here on the blog to remember the oh-awesome-rookie reviews that those are! Sorry in advance if this will, in any way, bug you. Keep reading beautiful BookPic-ERS. Love, -Alba.

-review- Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins

Image
Goodreads Shortie: Tenderhearted Southern girl Anna Whitt was born with the sixth sense to see and feel emotions of other people. She’s aware of a struggle within herself, an inexplicable pull toward danger, but Anna, the ultimate good girl, has always had the advantage of her angel side to balance the darkness within. It isn’t until she turns sixteen and meets the alluring Kaidan Rowe that she discovers her terrifying heritage and her willpower is put to the test. He’s the boy your daddy warned you about. If only someone had warned Anna. ******** The Characters/Scenery: Anna is definitely the purest girl I've ever read about and she definitely lives up to her description... She can't lie, she doesn't like secrets, her feelings are always shown, she helps her mom, she loves her life, loves her best friend... But even though she doesn't like secrets, she has a HUGE one, one she doesn't want or can't share even with her mom... And she's drawn to evi

-review- Everneath by Brodi Ashton

Image
Goodreads shortie: Last spring, Nikki Beckett vanished, sucked into an underworld known as the Everneath, where immortals Feed on the emotions of despairing humans. [...] She has six months before the Everneath comes to claim her, six months for good-byes she can’t find the words for, six months to find redemption, if it exists. ****** The characters-scenery: When one is presented with such complex and unique characters, there is NOTHING, nothing that one could add about them in a review. But let me just tell you a BIT~ hello sarcasm hehehe ~about the amazing characters that author, Brodi Ashton created... When you pick the book up and start reading you're immediately sucked into a really detailing scenario and you feel exactly, what main character Nikki, feels and sees. Her emotions are raw even though she doesn't wear them under her sleeve or on her face by reading from her POV you definitely FEEL with and for her. I also fell in love, HARD, with a ma

-review- Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent

Image
~*~ Goodreads ~*~ Amazon ~* ~ ********** This is the story of how I lost my life... Wait. No!! This is a REVIEW or you know, the chronicle of my life while reading the book, my feelings throughout my reading... The thing is... I died so many times while reading this single book I think I'm not even human anymore, not that I'd care to be a reaper knowing I'd join Tod ~sigh~ and Kay :D But before I start... just so you know... even the 'Dedication' of this book is AMAZING and almost brought me to tears~happy ones~ :'( It just shows how Rachel appreciates each and every reader of her books out there, and I felt cherished and loved right there on the spot...reading that dedication... I stayed up even later than normal that night to continue my reading of this book! ~But Tod was the same. Only better~ There hasn't been a series I have read in which ALL characters are described in such a way and that their lives and actions affect tremendously
